Seahawks TE Jordan Webb is set to make a big splash on the open market and is looking to help this franchise win, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Webb’s name has popped up in trade rumors since Seattle drafted him with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, but the team appears to be on the verge of making a deal with Webb.
According to Rapoports report, Webb could end up as Seattle’s top target.
“I think we’re gonna be able to find a couple of different things that make sense for Seattle.
I don’t know if it’s going to be the one thing that goes in one package or the one that goes out another package.
It’s kind of the whole package,” Webb said.
“That would be a good situation for us to find out.”
Webb has spent time on the field with the team over the last two seasons, but has not played since the beginning of 2017.
He has one year remaining on his contract and is not set to become a free agent this offseason.
The 6-foot-6, 220-pound tight end is in the final year of his rookie contract, which has a base salary of $3.4 million.
He will earn $2.5 million in signing bonuses this season.
Webb was selected to the Pro Bowl last season.
